New Certificate in Writing

The Department of Writing and Rhetoric Studies (WRS) announces a new certificate in Professional and Technical Writing beginning in Fall 2021.

The certificate was created to meet the demand for the need for successful writers. Students in the WRS major who have taken advantage of the courses in the certificate are now employed in the Salt Lake Valley as proposal writers, content editors, and web designers, to name a few. Others who have taken the courses have increased their value as writers in their chosen fields.

The certificate consists of 21 credit hours (7 classes) and can easily fit into most majors to complete general education requirements. For more information, email Lisa Shaw.
