Why study WRS at the Utah Asia Campus?
- Take classes from University of Utah faculty at an English-speaking campus.
- Complete courses for the major or minor in Writing and Rhetoric Studies while living in a high-tech, walkable city just one hour from Seoul.
- Learn about Korean writing and culture through special events such as a Buddhist temple stay, international conference, National Hangeul Museum visit, and World Writing Museum visit
- Obtain partial tuition funding through working as a Writing Center tutor when enrolled in WRTG 4020: Writing Center Theory and Practice, and/or apply for a scholarship through the Office of Global Engagement

Scholarships & Financial Aid
Students are strongly encouraged to apply for scholarships offered through The Office of Global Engagement, due March 1 for fall semester and October 1 for Spring semester.
Students who have applied for at least one scholarship offered through the Office of Global Engagement may also apply for one of two $500 needs-based scholarships offered by the Department of Writing and Rhetoric Studies. Eligible students must:
- Be a declared Writing and Rhetoric Studies Major or Minor
- Register for at least two Writing and Rhetoric courses during the semester at the Utah Asia Campus
- Apply by April 1 for Fall semester and November 1 for Spring semester
