Alex's Bio
Alex Way was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He earned his PhD at the University of Louisville, where he also served as an assistant director of the 2021 Thomas R. Watson Conference on Rhetoric and Composition. He has taught English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Kanazawa University in Japan, and English Composition at Washington State University and the University of Louisville. His research interests include the sociolinguistics of writing, translingual and transmodal orientations to composition, translation as a pedagogical tool, and non-alphabetic literacies. In his free time he enjoys running, traveling, and studying languages.
